Qingbai round box, Yuan dynasty, China, 1279-1368. A small round qingbai circular covered box with fluted sides round the top, which is decorated with moulded cash or trellis pattern decoration. The base has 6 or 7 moulded characters in 'Paks-pa' script named after the famous Tibetan monk from the Sakya monastery in Tibet.
