Qingbai vase, Early Northern Song dynasty, China, 960-1127.
Qingbai vase, Early Northern Song dynasty, China, 960-1127. Miniature qingbai moulded diamond-shaped vase of metalwork shape. There is curvilinear relief decoration which accentuates the metalware inspiration highlighted in iron oxide. The whole piece is covered with an even, pale blue glaze that ends just short of the unglazed base which has oxidized.
