Two ivory figures, early Qing dynasty, China, 1644-1750. The right-hand figure is of a woman elaborately garbed in a pleated robe with cloud collar and flowing sleeves. The figure is shown holding a fan up to her chest with her right hand and a whisk dangling down in her left hand. Her hair is elaborately dressed and swept back into a bun at the back.
