Ivory box with incised floral decoration, Qing dynasty, China, 18th century. A square ivory box with shaved and shaped corners. The box is decorated on the top with an incised floral spray and four precious emblems (i) a double gourd (ii) a Ting vessel (iii) a ruyi sceptre (iv) and a set of books all with ribbons. The sides of the box have incised landscape decoration of mountains and pavilions and figures.
