A gold ring, with portraits of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, 1840. Artist: Rundell, Bridge and Rundell
A gold ring, with portraits of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, 1840. The bezel is formed of miniature medals of Victoria and Albert. It was made by Rundell, Bridge and Rundell, who became the royal goldsmith in 1789, and were one of the most successful silversmiths, goldsmiths and jewellers in Britain up until the 1940s. They employed some of the most eminent craftsmen of their day. © London Museum/Heritage Images
