Fuente de Santa Maria or Santa Maria Fountain, designed by Gines Martinez in 1564, in the Plaza de Santa Maria in Baeza, Jaen, Andalusia, Spain. The lower section of the fountain comprises a Roman triumphal arch. Behind is the tower of Baeza Cathedral, or Catedral de la Natividad de Nuestra Senora de Baeza, reconstructed in Renaissance style by Andres de Vandelvira. The fountain forms part of the Renaissance buildings of Ubeda and Baeza which are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Picture by Manuel Cohen
