Chapel of the Ursuline Monastery, or Chapelle des Ursulines, with altarpiece and pulpit made from sculpted and gilded wood, 1723-39 by Pierre-Noel Levasseur, Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. The Ursuline Convent was founded in 1639 and is the oldest girls' school on the continent. The chapel was built 1723-39 for the centennial of the arrival of the Ursulines in Quebec City.
