Collections of the Musee des Beaux-Arts de la Ville de Blois, housed since 1869 on the first floor of the Louis XII wing of the Chateau Royal de Blois, built 13th - 17th century in Blois in the Loire Valley, Loir-et-Cher, Centre, France. The museum originally opened in 1850 in the Francois I wing, but moved here in 1869 after the rooms had been restored by Felix Duban in 1861-66. The porcupine relief on the chimney breast is the symbol of Louis XII. The chateau has 564 rooms and 75 staircases and is listed as a historic monument and UNESCO World Heritage Site.
