Bronze bust of Francois I, 1756, by Louis-Claude Vasse, 1716-72, after an original 16th century bust in the Chateau de Fontainebleau, in the Salle des Valois, with collections belonging to the Valois, especially Francois I, on the first floor of the Francois I wing, built early 16th century in Italian Renaissance style, at the Chateau Royal de Blois, built 13th - 17th century in Blois in the Loire Valley, Loir-et-Cher, Centre, France. The sculpture was acquired in 1926 by the Musee des Beaux-Arts de la Ville de Blois. The chateau has 564 rooms and 75 staircases and is listed as a historic monument and UNESCO World Heritage Site.
