Ground floor entrance to the monumental spiral staircase, with salamander and crown relief above the doorway, 16th century, French School, on the interior South East facade of the Francois I wing, in Renaissance style, at the Chateau Royal de Blois, built 13th - 17th century in Blois in the Loire Valley, Loir-et-Cher, Centre, France. The staircase is covered in bas-relief sculptures and looks onto the courtyard of the chateau.
