Texas State Capitol, containing the Texas Legislature and the Office of the Governor, designed in 1881 by Elijah E Myers and built 1882-88, Austin, Texas, USA. On the right is the underground 4-storey inverted rotunda extension, built 1993. The building is in Italian Neo-Renaissance style, with both Corinthian and Doric details and a large central dome. The State Capitol houses the Senate, Governor's Office, House of Representatives and Supreme Court. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a National Historic Landmark.
