Walter Aston, 1st Lord Aston, (1832). In 1622, Aston was engaged by the crown to negotiate a marriage between Charles, the Prince of Wales (the future King Charles I), and an Infanta of Spain. The negotiations were unsuccessful, but for his efforts Aston was created Lord Aston of Forfar in 1627.
