Letter from Francis Bacon, Lord Verulam and Viscount St.Albans to Sir John Puckering, Lord Keeper, complaining of the latter's failure to support his suit for the office of Solicitor-General. Gray's Inn. The letter is endorsed by the Lord Keeper, Mr Bacon wronging me. The post was given on 5th November to Serjeant Thomas Fleming, and Bacon did not become Solicitor-General until 1607.
