King Edward VII's State Coach used for Opening of Parliament. After the death of Queen Victoria the full pomp and pageantry of the State Opening of Parliament were restored and enhanced by Edward VII following his accession in 1901. Edward VII (Albert Edward, 1841-1910) was King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, King of the Commonwealth Realms, and the Emperor of India. He reigned from 22 January 1901 until his death on 6 May 1910.
