Duart Castle, near Craignure, Mull, Argyll & Bute, Scotland. Dating from the 13th century, Duart Castle was the seat of the Clan MacLean. It was attacked on several occasions in the 17th century by the Campbells, and surrendered to them in 1691. The castle was abandoned in 1751, but in 1911 Sir Fitzroy Donald MacLean, 26th Chief of the Clan MacLean bought it and restored it.
