War crimes trial of Wilhelm Harster, Munich, West Germany, 1967. Harster (1904-1991) was an officer in the Sicherheitsdienst (SD), the intelligence service of the SS. In 1967 he was tried alongside his two closest aides, Wilhelm Zoepf and Gertrud Slottke, and sentenced to 15 years in jail for the deportation of Jews to concentration camps at Auschwitz and Sobibor. He had previously been convicted in the Netherlands of the deportation and murder of Dutch Jews, serving 4 years of a 12 year sentence. Among those sent to the camps by his orders was Anne Frank.
