Canary Wharf, London, 2009. The redevelopment of the Canary Wharf area of London's docklands began in the 1980s. It saw the construction of a complex of several large office blocks, the first of which to be built was 1 Canada Square, completed in 1991. Designed by American architect Cesar Pelli, it is the tallest building in London.
