Making repairs to the Great Conservatory at Chatsworth, Derbyshire, late 19th century. The great glasshouse on the Duke of Devonshire's estate at Chatsworth was designed and built by Sir Joseph Paxton (1803-1865) between 1836 and 1840. Paxton later built the Crystal Palace for the Great Exhibition of 1851.
