The miraculous draught of fishes, 1866. Artist: Gustave Dor?
The miraculous draught of fishes, 1866. In the New Testament gospels chronicling the life of Jesus Christ, there are a number of accounts of miracles. This is the first of the two accounts of miraculous draughts of fishes in the New Testament. In Luke 5:1-11 after an unsuccessful night of fishing, Jesus tells his disciples to cast their nets again; this time they pull in a heavy catch. From Dore's illustrated Bible. (London, 1866).
