Jizhou tea bowl with slip decoration, Southern Song dynasty, China, late 12th-early 13th century. A Jizhou tea bowl with slightly incurving rim. The bowl is covered inside and out with glaze of blackish brown colour. The inside is sketchily drawn in yellow slip with two phoenixes separated by calligraphic scribble. The foot shows the white/buff body.
