Yixing pottery seal box covered with lacquer, Qing dynasty, China, early 19th century. A small Yixing pottery octagonal seal box covered with deep reddish-brown lacquer. The top of the lid is incised with a prunus spray and the tiny seal mark of Lu Kuisheng (Lu Dong) (ante 1780-1850) - the most celebrated Yangzhou lacquer artist of the early 19th century.
