Famille verte/rose plate, Qing dynasty, Yongzheng period, China, 1723-1735. Porcelain plate decorated in Chinese taste with strawberry-like plant on green black-spotted ground. The leaves are black with two shades of green. There are three small flowers in rose, a praying mantis in yellow, blue and green on the ground, and a butterfly above. The base has a six-character Chenghua mark in underglaze blue but the piece dates to the Yongzheng period.
