Brown Si Satchanalai jar of Chalian type, Thailand, 15th century. A blackish brown Si Satchanalai jar of Chalian type. The body is a reddish colour with the slightly concave base showing traces of a large blackish pontil. The body has two narrow bands of three concave lines: one around the upper part of the body, one round the lip and one about half way down. The jar is glazed inside and out.
