Qingbai water pot and cover, Late Northern Song dynasty, China, c1100 AD. Small Qingbai octagonal faceted undecorated water pot and cover with straight squared high-shouldered sides. There is a pulled handle and elegant tubular spout. The pale blue glaze pools around the handle and on the shoulder. The base is partly unglazed with traces of three spur marks. The cover has two holes for tying the cover to the pot itself.
