Brown and green glazed tea bowl, Southern Song dynasty, China, 1127-1279. A heavily potted tea bowl with concave lip depression under the straight rim. The bowl is glazed part way down the outside with a light reddish brown glaze, the inside has a dark yellowish-green glaze with streaks of the brown glaze around the rim. There are four spur marks in the interior. The base and part of exterior are unglazed and show the close grained reddish body.
