Celadon tripod censer, Yuan dynasty, China, 1279-1368. A small tripod censer of archaistic form. The round, heavily potted and shouldered body has two loop handles which extend from the shoulder and join and rise above the rim. The piece is glazed all over with a thick crackled even green celadon-type glaze. The unglazed areas of the feet expose a deep reddish brown body.
