Blue and white sleeve vase, China, 1637. Qing dynasty blue and white Rolwagen (sleeve vase) painted in vivid cobalt. There are incised anhua scroll borders around the base and shoulders, and the flared neck has a band of stiff sword-like leaves. There is an inscription on the body that dates the piece to the autumn of 1637.
