Rouge de fer and gilt plate with butterflies, plants and rock, Qing dynasty, late Kangxi period, China, 1700-1722. A small white plate decorated in the centre with stylized rocks and leaf sprays. The rim has butterflies and leaf sprays all in rouge de fer and gilding of various shades. The reverse has three grass groups.
