Souffle blue bowl with gilt decoration, Qing dynasty, Kangxi period, China, 1662-1722. A souffle blue bowl of rounded form decorated on the exterior with four gilded panels of deer and fabulous animals on a ground of scrolling lotus between diaper and false gadroon borders. The interior is white glazed and undecorated. There is a Kangxi mark on the base and the piece is of the period.
