Jade mythical feline, Southern Song-Yuan dynasty, China, 12th-14th century. A jade mythical feline with blunt muzzle looking up and ridged spine. The neatly carved tail is swept forward over the body, the claws are powerfully modelled with double line outlines and with comma-shaped incisions on their underside. The hocks have comma-shaped spirals.
