Jizhou rice measure jar, Southern Song dynasty, China, 13th century. An unusually large Jizhou 'rice measure' jar. The buff body is covered to the knife parred foot with a black brown suffused glaze with yellowish phosphatic splashes. The interior is glazed red brown.
