Charlotte Stanley, Countess of Derby, (1825). The granddaughter of William, Prince of Orange, Charlotte married the 7th Earl of Derby, who was taken prisoner at Worcester in 1651, and was beheaded at Bolton. The countess was famous for her defence of Lathom House against the Parliamentary forces during the English Civil War.
