'Ibrahim Pasha Looking after the Wounded', 1847. The son of Muhammad Ali Pasha, Ottoman Viceroy of Egypt, Ibrahim Pasha (1789-1848) commanded the Egyptian army. After his father became senile Ibrahim ruled Egypt as regent from July 1848 until his death in November of the same year. A print from 19th Century Egypt, published 1847.
