Major General Robert Henry Sale mortally wounded at Moodkee (Mudkhi), 1845. Sale (1784-1845) British soldier who from 1798 served mainly in India and Afghanistan and rose to the rank of Major-General in the army of the British East India Company. In the First Sikh War he was mortally wounded at Battle of Moodkee (Mudkhi), 18 December 1845 and died of his wounds on 21 December.
