Cup, c1558, (1843). Decorative cup belonging to the Company of Goldsmiths, said to have been presented by Queen Elizabeth to Sir Martin Bowes, a member of the Company, and lord mayor of London on the year of her accession to the throne. The cup is of silver gilt studded with crystals, and bears the arms of Martin Bowes.
