'Elizabeth at the Hunt', late 19th century. Elizabeth of Bavaria (1837-1898), Empress of Austria, out fox-hunting (perhaps with the Hungarian statesman Count Julius Andrassy). Elizabeth was a superb horsewoman and a keen follower to hounds. She was a regular visitor to England during the hunting season. From the collection of the Hungarian National Museum.
