Domed painted ceiling in the Green Mosque or Yesil Cami, Bursa, Turkey. The Green Mosque was built under Sultan Mehmed Celebi in 1419-21 by the architect Haci Ivaz Pasha. The painted decorations were by Ali bin Ilyas and Mehmed el Mecnun. Following an earthquake in 1855, the building underwent an extensive renovation led by architect Leon Parvillee.
