The National Palace of Sintra is a multi-storeyed national monument that portrays architectural styles from the 13th to the 19th centuries. It features elements of Gothic, Mudejar, Manueline and Renaissance architecture, along with wonderful azulejos (coloured glazed tiles) from the 15th and 16th centuries in various halls and patios and in the Royal Chapel.
