Woodside Maisonettes, Sheffield 13th August 1962. Artist: Michael Walters
Woodside Maisonettes, Sheffield 13th August 1962. The newly built Woodside Maisonettes in Sheffield were a good example of the brave new architecture prevalent in the 1960's. These, together with high rise concrete tower blocks soon became slums and in need of constant refurbishment. Although a few of these types of city blocks remain; most are now demolished and consigned to history.
