Well preserved owing to its 6th century AD conversion to a church, the Temple of Concord is a typical example of optical correction whose tapering columns create the illusion of a perfectly aligned building. Its frieze consists of alternating triglyphs and metopes, and the pediment is undecorated. The Valley of the Temples is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Picture by Manuel Cohen.
