The Tower Room, and through the doorway, the Consulate of the Sea, where maritime and commercial law was administered, decorated by Juan del Poyo, 1418-1455, at La Lonja de la Seda or the Silk Exchange, Valencia, Spain. Built 1482-1533 by Pere Compte, Johan Yvarra, Johan Corbera and Domingo Urtiaga, the Silk Exchange is a masterpiece of late Gothic architecture. It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996.
