Yellow saucer with dragons in green enamel, Zhengde period, Ming dynasty, China, 1506-1521. A porcelain saucer dish with slightly everted rim. The exterior is decorated with two incised dragons amid clouds in pursuit of flaming pearls in green enamel on a yellow ground. The use of imperial yellow porcelain with green dragons as here was confined to first rank of concubines.
