Lacquer plaque in carved wood table screen, with inlays of jade and cornelian, Qing dynasty, 17th century. Lacquered wood plaque mounted as a table screen with a frame and stand carved of fine blackwood. The lacquered wood has inlays of a prunus tree in various colours of jade and cornelian. The reverse has a lacquered panel decorated with a gold prunus spray, similar to the front, against a dark brown ground.
