Brushwasher with clair-de-lune glaze, Qianlong period, Qing dynasty, China, 1736-1795. A clair-de-lune brushwasher, the baggy sides rising to a lipped rim, the foot-rim covered with a brown slip. The glaze is of even, pale blue clair-de-lune colour.
