'Tobi seiji' celadon jar and cover, Yuan dynasty, China, 14th century. A small celadon ribbed kuan jar and cover. The glaze is of an even celadon colour with extensive ferrugineous brown spots in a style called by the Japanese 'tobi seiji',. The cover is plain except for a wavy edge.
