Guan-type celadon miniature double gourd vase, Yuan dynasty, China, 14th century. A miniature double gourd vase with two elephant's head appliques on each side of the upper section. The whole vase is covered by a very thick broadly crackled greyish celadon glaze of Guan type, probably from Longquan. The base is glazed and the shallow foot rim unglazed and of blackish brown colour.
