Dated Wu Tong ink box with silver inlays, mark of Yue Zhongxing workshop, Qing dynasty, China, 1881. A silver inlaid Wu Tong ink box of oval shape. The top is decorated with inlaid silver characters and key fret border, the sides with etched and silver infilled decoration of a pine tree, bamboo by pavilions, a resting man and a poem.
