Igor Mitraj, Polish artist, studied painting at the Academy of Art, Krakow, Poland, and took up sculpture after a trip to Mexico. The Basilica di Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri was designed in 1563 by Michelangelo (1475-1564) and built within the Roman Baths of Dicoletian, 296-306. Photograph by Manel Cohen.
