San Martin Church, Segovia, Spain, 2007. Artist: Samuel Magal
San Martin Church, Segovia, Spain, 2007. Mozarabic in origin, the present building of this church is Romanesque with apses decorated in Romanesque style and a doorway at the end of the church with beautifully decorated archivolts. The main entrance has only one portal with simple sculptural figures flanking the entrance high up on the jambs. An atrium surrounds the church on three of its sides. It has round arches resting on columns with Roman capitals. The church tower, in three sections, is in the centre of the nave. It has a Baroque spire and was rebuilt using brick in the 14th century.
