Psalm 49; the Crucifixion, [Whole folio] Psalm 49. Border decoration with animal grotesque in the outer margin. In the lower margin, Christ on the Cross; at his side, the Virgin faints in the arms of St John. Longinius kneels, pointing to his eye and piercing Christ's side with a spear. On the other side, Stephaton stands with a gold bucket and a sponge at the end of a pole, with three hostile watching figures including a High Priest Image taken from Luttrell Psalter. Originally published/produced in England [East Anglia]; circa 1325-1335.
